Henry David Thoreau said that he was reborn every morning when he swam in historic Walden Pond. Even though Thoreau was a celibate philsopher who preferred the company of bugs and birds to men and women, generations of his followers (including flower children and other practitioners of free love) have traveled from all over the world to romp and tryst right here.
